7. Study Summary
Lay Summary | In older patients, it is necessary to measure the actual physiological reserves that precede the geriatric syndrome, such as frailty or sarcopenia before surgery. Therefore, this study aims to develop and verify a methodology for measuring resilience, which is a decrease in physiological reserve capacity that precedes frailty by studying elderly patients who have undergone pancreatectomy. |

Observational Study Model | Cohort |
Time Perspective | Prospective |
Target Number of Participant | 100 |
Cohort/Group Number | 1 |
Cohort/ Group 1 |
Cohort/Group Label Observational Cohort |
Cohort/Group Description Preoperative resilience, comprehensive geriatric assessment, and sarcopenia are evaluated before surgery. Postoperative complications, functional recovery at 2 weeks and 3,6 months were evaluated, and changes in frailty and sarcopenia after 1 year, and survival at 1,3,5 years will be assessed. |
